I’m here today with a solution to a problem that has been bothering a bunch of pixies!
I’m gonna show you guys how to add music to your FairyABC page!!
First, go to this site, archive.org. This is a site where you can legally and safely download MP3s, the format audio needs to be in to be able to go on your FABC userpage. I’m sure there are a ton of other sites to get MP3s, but this is the only one I trust, personally.
So, once you get to the site’s homepage, go to the top of the page and click on the audio symbol (the little grey boombox). It will pull down a menu of different types of audio. Click on the words “Music, Arts & Culture”. Scroll down on that page until you find an audiotape you think you’ll like!
Once you find something you like, click on it.
As you can see, I was interested in some flute music. Far out.
Click the play button and listen to the whole tape to see if you like it.
If you decide you want to put it on your userpage, go to the “Download Options” bar right underneath where the music will play. Click on “MP3”, which will lead you to a page that will look like this:
Don’t click the download button.
FairyABC requires an MP3 link.
Copy the link, and then go to your FABC userpage.
If you haven’t already, go into DIY mode and add the music block to your page. Then, still in DIY mode, click on the dark blue bar with Chinese characters on it that shows up in the upper corner of the block when you roll your mouse over it. Then, click “Properties”. Go to the “Add Audio” tab, and paste the link in. Add a track name, and then click save!
Click the play button on the music block (once you’re out of DIY mode) and the music will play!
(The flute music was streaming-only, so I picked my next favorite choice, Pretty Red Hibiscus)
